A:V:R MYSTIQUE

I wanted to display the actuality of vintage/antique/retro objects and explore the things that deem them ‘vintage’ and ‘neoclassical’ upon first sight, and then explore the relationship between owning these things that we give more value upon due to the time in which we’ve kept them. I want to explore the things we associate with vintage things. I want to explore antique stores and thrift stores slightly focus on the price these things are sold at today solely due to the fact that it is ‘vintage’ or ‘retro’. I want to explore the genuine appeal and attraction to these old things/objects that have made a home in people’s hearts.

I aimed to explore the vintage aesthetic in which many millennials identify with. I experimented with exploration of the sounds and chimes that we associate with these items and experiences.
